More than a year later, your great ex-spc is posting again. Somehow, many things have happened in the past 1 year, and when you try to recall back to the days when we were in 2k, it seems to be a little vague. Little details can only be recalled with much difficulties. The days when we spent our time in the classroom painted by ourselves seem so far away. And all the everyday lives in there, gossips, rumors, jokes... Through this year, we have all changed a lot, grown up (in terms of both height, weight and mentality), made new friends, expanded our social circle.. But no matter what, 1k/2k has shaped you to become who you are now, even if its only very trivial. So i hope that we will always stay as one, in regardless of our differences, because there is something that we, and only we have experienced it before, that is the bond between our classmates. So once again, your great ex-spc is just crapping coz she doesnt feel like doing anything else. But, really, there's some things that only we will have experienced before. Its a part of our memories, and will always be in our minds(unless you have short term memory) Haha. So, lets have more class gatherings from now onwards!!!

however,

Exams VS Tests

How do tests differ from exams?

-Exams take up a bigger %
-Exams are full-scale and require revision of the whole yr's work
-Exams don't allow correction tape/fluid

+One exam ppr a day versus possibly more than one test a day (that is, unless u stupidly go take up extra subjects)
+All the classes take de same exam on de same day, so there's no fair or no fair for other classes.
+All the classes are taking their exams together so there will be no disturbances.
+There are no lessons before de ppr in an exam situation, so evry thing is still fresh in ur mind (no droggy lessons to make u forget all u've revised)
+We all go home straight after an exam, so we have the whole remaining of the day to study for the next pppr.
+Evrything stops for the exams, no practices, no ongoing projects, NOTHING! More time to revise!
+Exam papers are printed on better quality ppr with better print quality (Really!)
+Foolscap and graph pprs etc are provided in exams!
+Revising for the exams are a wonderful reason/excuse for anything and everything!

In conclusion, after all those scary tests we lot have been through, the EOYs are nothing much to worry about. Just give it your best and CHILL. jiayou 2K! We can do it!

HELLO 2K! i'm posting yea? must set gd example mah... to all 2K t'chers, HAPPY TEACHERS DAY! heya now 2k t'chers have nice cookies n brownies (which Mrs Lee is not going to share with her husband, but Mrs Chin, on the contrary, is going to let her husband try it) and NICE COOL 2K TEES! nono no extra ingredients were added in de process (at least none tt we were aware of, anw) and de tees r not class tees, they r specially designed tees for our superteachers.

ohno it doesn't matter tt our beloved 30 sec video was up n although i was very bushuang but anw, it's de tot tt counts wad hor? we dun give broken walkmans to our teachers hahs.

im glad the class blog is so alive! thnx to koh wei xun. =.= ok anyway, ya this has been a bz week, with all the tests, and still there is a science test coming up on tues, good luck! not to forget, teachers day and parent-child day! we need to get FOOD and lots of FOOD. =) yum yum. anyone got suggestions pls come to me or ling hong. i think we will try to discuss it during one of the interaction period. pls volunteer actively. have the initiative thnx lots!

Hey, jh sent tis to me quite a while ago n i kinda tot it was veh enlightening.

The Pink Dress
There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park.
Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad.
Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by.
She never tried to speak; she never said a word.
Many people passed by her, but no one would stop.
The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see if the little girl would still be there.
Yes, she was there, right in the very spot where she was yesterday, and still with the same sad look in her eyes.
Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl.
As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress.
It was grotesquely shaped.
I figured that was the reason people just passed by and made no effort to speak to her.
As I got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to avoid my intent stare.
As I approached her, I could see the shape of her back more clearly.
She was grotesquely shaped in a humped over form.
I smiled to let her know it was OK; I was there to help, to talk.
I sat down beside her! and opened with a simple, "Hello."
The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a "hi"; after a long stare into my eyes.
I smiled and she shyly smiled back.
We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty.
I asked the girl why she was so sad.
The little girl looked at me with a sad face said, "Because, I'm different."
I immediately said, "That you are!"; and smiled.
The little girl acted even sadder and said, "I know."
"Little girl," I said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent."
She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and said, "Really?"
"Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch over all people walking by."
She nodded her head yes, and smiled.
With that she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her wings to spread, then she said "I am."
"I'm your Guardian Angel," with a twinkle in her eye.
I was speechless -- sure I was seeing things.
She said, "For once you thought of someone other than yourself.? My job here is done".
I got to my feet and said, "Wait, why did no one stop to help an angel?"
She looked at me, smiled, and said, "You're the only one that could see me," and then she was gone.
And with that, my life was changed dramatically.
So, when you think you're all you have, remember, your angel is always watching over you.
Like the story says, we all need someone...
And, every one of your friends is an Angel in their own way.
The value of a friend is measured in the heart.
I hope your Guardian Angel watches over you always.

bbq was fun!!
when i got there iimel shook hands wif me and i got my hands black!! but hers was worse.
then we started playing all kinds of games like vball, monkey, and there was the burial of matthew (or was it evan) soccer ball into the sand. (and they tot that it was missing!!) then ard6, we started to play class games.. 终级密码, dog and bone, stuffs like that. haha. there was more of whos rite whos wrong then playing! nonetheless, it was very fun!

Ans: Linear and very near each other. i tink btwn de distance btwn one BBQ pit to another is barely 2m lor.
They're veh near each other, and near de underpass ok?! turn right after u get out of de underpass. Btw, to get to de underpass, go to marine parade (dun ask me wad buses go dere, sry), dan go to de ENORMOUS NTUC dere. (we're gna do our shopping dere, fyi) at de back, look out for a yellow arch shelter thingie. TT'S DE UNDERPASS! yeah!

i puzzled my brains out, and i KNEW I HAD SEEN IT BEFORE, so i was trying to remember what the answer was. but muahaha, maybe you havent seen it before, so i shall BOGGLE YOU OUT.

Hotel Bill
Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. okies anyway in an attempt to not make denise the most active blogger, i shall blog more too! [basically cuz im bored laXD]

The Real Meaning Of Peace

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artistwho would paint the best picture of peace. Many artiststried. The king looked at all the pictures. But therewere only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them.

But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest - in perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the second picture. Do you know why?

The Pebble Story

Many hundreds of years ago in a small Italian town, a merchant had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the merchant's beautiful daughter.

So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the merchant's debt if he could marry his daughter. Both the merchant and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter.

He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail. They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the merchant's garden. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles.

As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag.

Now, imagine you were standing in the merchant's garden.

What would you have done if you were the girl?

If you had to advise her, what would you have told her?

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story.

The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking.

The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking.

Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers.

What would you recommend the girl to do?

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble.

Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

"Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked."

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Most complex problems do have a solution it is only that we don't attempt to think.

It's not the fault of the student if he fails, because the year ONLY has 365 days.

Typical academic year for a student:

1. Sundays - 52 Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest. a well-known fact.

Days left 313.

2. Summer holidays - 50 where weather is very hot and difficult to study. even with a super-powered air-con.

Days left 263.

3. 8 hours daily sleep - 130 days GONE. hey. i'm actually suffering from lack of sleep.

Days left 141.

4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health){"all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"}u noe,which means 15 days.

Days left 126.

5. 2 hours daily for all meals in that day(chewing properly & swallowing) - means 30days.

Days left 96.

6. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal) - means 15 days. i mean, 1hr is not even enuff.

Days left 81.

7. Exam days - per year at least 35 days. wow. not tt much for us must take tt into account. but anyway, what about cca and stuff!?!?!

stupid name too. i THOUGHT it had something to do with the red dices, since the name is important, and roses are red. but i only managed to get the correct answers 1/3 of the time. annoying game lor.

The day was rather funny, coz u c ur parents makin fwens wif ur fwens' parents. I dun noe, juz tot it looked funny. we've been keeping quiet about this.

the teachers have tried to keep it from you.

the school did something on purpose.

something so horrifying i was numb for 30 seconds when i heard it.

the school has never really approved of the 'bad behaviour', as they term it.

but we never thought they would go to this extent.

to attempt to 'quieten' us down.
